Work Experience:
1990 – 1992: Apollo Hospitals Enterprises limited, Chennai as a trainee for global placements followed by staff nurse. Worked in Emergency, Intensive critical care unit and in multispecialty medical – surgical ward.

Academic and curricular accountabilities: 
Taught for post graduate, under graduate, bridging – RN BSN/Post BSC and diploma in nursing students with entire satisfaction of students, management and self. Courses taught-Nursing Foundation, Medical Surgical nursing, Advanced health assessments, Nutrition, Nursing education, Administration & Leadership, Research and statistics.
Involved as an active member in developing and improving curriculum, planning, implementing, evaluation and ongoing refinement as per global and accreditation requirement.

Healthcare Research Activities:
Passed the UGC examination for lectureship and research fellowship. Possess good clinical practice certificate. Conducted individual, nursing team and healthcare team researches. Validated many research proposals of students and faculty – medical, dental, pharmacy and nursing for institutional approval. Conducted many CNEs and faculty development events for outcomes based education, research methodology and statistics cum SPSS.  
In students scientific conference at RAKMHSU presented 2 Master Students’ researches and one got first prize. UG Student research for students’ scientific conference were presented for poster. 

Community activities:
Organized and participated in many health camps. 
Gave motivational speeches on developing good habits, weight management, focus on goals, health promotion to school children and role of teachers to school teachers.
Maternity education: Pregnancy to breast feeding to eligible women and family.
Chief guest for many schools, colleges and community activities.
Participated in health awareness run by RAKMHSU and RAK Terry Fox marathon run for cancer research awareness fund.

Overall experience areas in brief:
As a founder principal started the DMIPSR CON and involved in the overall development of the institution, faculty and students from inception to 4 years. 
Continued as a professor cum principal at Shanmuga CON for 8 years, actively involved in NAAC accreditation for CON-developed, institution, faculty, students in teaching learning, clinical nursing skills, OSCE, application of nursing theories and research in a remarkable manner. Got MOU with educational institutions.  
In UAE, exposed to interdisciplinary healthcare education and research. Executed team based and problem based learning. Was active member in CME, Online Examination, Question paper vetting, Faculty development, Curriculum development, Research etc.   

Presently, as a professor and head of the department, involved in planning, implementing and evaluating the medical surgical nursing curriculum. Uses OSCE, practical and lab demonstrations for teaching and learning for clinical aspects. Plans academic presentation sessions using modular teaching. Involved in guiding uniform way of application of theory /models based nursing process for FON & MSN faculty and students.  As a resource person / consultant Conducts faculty training for outcomes based education.

1. 2020. Maniba Bhula CON, UKA Tarsadia University, Gujarat, conducted one day workshop on Outcomes Based Education for nursing programs– to faculty of nursing and physiotherapy

2. October 2019 conducted one day workshop on Outcomes Based Education for nursing programs– to faculty of nursing: Vinayaka Missions University’s THREE nursing colleges- Salem, Karaikkal and Pondichery.
